Studies show that employees who have long-term care responsibilities for a family member experience stress and increased absenteeism, both problems that can affect their job performance. Future Guard offers an opportunity for employees to purchase long term care protection at group rates, and their family members are eligible to apply as well, including spouses, siblings, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, and grandparents-in-law.

Guaranteed issue enrollment is available where 25 or more full-time actively-at-work employees enroll in the plan. The coverage is totally portable, and the employee may pay premiums directly to the administrator or by payroll deduction, at the employer's option.   There is no employer participation requirement.

CNA handles underwriting approvals and pays claims. GLTC Insurance Administrators, Inc., does the rest, including communications with employees, staffing of phone lines and e-mail for assistance to employees with questions, policy issue, premium billing, and maintenance of policyholder records.
